Role Purpose
Generate new business in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events) and Groups segments through proactive prospecting, developing new corporate accounts, MICE agencies, and event organizers.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and acquire new clients in the MICE and Groups segments through proactive prospecting (cold calling, networking, site inspections).
Develop and manage the MICE/Groups sales pipeline, from RFP to contract signature.
Attend trade shows, workshops, and industry events dedicated to the MICE segment (e.g., IMEX, IBTM, corporate trade fairs).
Build lasting relationships with MICE agencies, PCOs (Professional Congress Organizers), and corporate accounts.
Track production targets and the conversion of enquiries into confirmed contracts.
Work with the relevant team on the optimal allocation of space and rooms for the groups/MICE segment.
Requirements:
Degree in Economics, Management, other STEM, or Event Management.
At least 3–5 years of MICE/Groups sales experience in hospitality, with a proven new-business development track record.
Strong proactive prospecting/hunting skills.
Knowledge of the Italian and international MICE market.
Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Fluent in Italian and English; a second language is a plus.
Willingness to travel frequently.
